Philadelphia, "The City of Brotherly Love," is one of the oldest, most historic cities in the US. Philadelphia's economy is heavily based upon manufacturing, refining, food, and financial services. The city also has its own stock exchange and is home to several Fortune 500 companies. Philadelphia is one of the earliest examples of a planned city. Its rectilinear grid of streets�now a commonplace feature of urban planning�was its most noteworthy innovation. The city was founded and developed in 1682 by William Penn, a Quaker.

OAC has had a presence in Philadelphia since 1980, and our national offices are nearby in eastern Pennsylvania. Our staff and associates minister the gospel to children all over the city. They also proclaim the good news on downtown sidewalks and parks as well as bus stops and subway stations.
