Steve came to Christ in his early thirties. As God was drawing Steve to Himself, He used an individual along the way to challenge Steve to read the Gospel of John. About a year later, as God's Word was working on his spirit, an evangelist on TV proclaimed the Gospel and Steve was saved. Recently, Steve and Connie moved back to their hometown to spend more time with the grandkids and to begin a full-time ministry of evangelism with Open Air Campaigners.Steve came to Christ in his early thirties. At that time in his life, he was successful in business but spiritually empty. God used an individual along the way to challenge Steve to read the Gospel of John. About a year later, as God's Word was working on his spirit through an evangelist on TV who proclaimed the Gospel, Steve was saved. Recently, Steve and Connie moved back to their hometown to spend more time with the grandkids and to begin a full-time ministry of evangelism with Open Air Campaigners. Steve has been used of the Lord through Compassion International, as a Volunteer Advocate, to speak in churches, businesses and various groups about being involved in child sponsorship. He has also taught many evangelism classes in churches and led groups out to the streets to witness the Gospel. Other ministries include marriage mentoring with Connie, and Steve is also as a graduate of the Living Waters Ambassador Academy in Los Angeles in 2008. He is the founder and leader of IANA Ministry (I Am Not Ashamed), originally based in Colorado Springs which trains, coordinates and leads evangelism teams throughout the city of Colorado Springs and beyond. Both Steve and Connie participated in our Baltimore/DC SET in 2012. In 2012, he received his Masters degree in Biblical Studies from Front Range Bible Institute in Colorado Springs. Connie was saved at the age of 26 through the TV ministry of Billy Graham. The Lord has used her through the years as a godly mom, marriage mentoring with Steve, a Life Steps Counselor at their local Crisis Pregnancy Center, as a volunteer and in leadership with Compassion International and as a partner with Steve in developing IANA evangelism ministry. They have three grown children: Kyle, Anika and Ryan and six grandchildren (so far)!
