Ed & Debbie NeimannON STAFF SINCE 2016I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts with a religious upbringing, but I never understood the salvation offered to me through the Gospel. On Friday night, December 17, 1971, while a freshman attending U-Mass at Amherst, I encountered a campus evangelistic event. I heard and understood for the first time my personal need for Christ. I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and found that Jesus began meeting the deepest needs of my life. This experience of God was so wonderful that I wanted others to know it as well; and thus, I began immediately to evangelize my family, friends and fellow college students. After being heavily involved in college ministry with the Navigators and graduating from U-Mass, God led me to attend Bible college. It was there that I met Debbie who had recently received Christ and gave up working for a court reporting firm to attend Bible college. After our marriage and upon completing our degree work, the two of us taught at the Bible college for four years. Eventually, we moved to pastoral ministry for twenty-four years serving in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, St. Louis, Missouri and Fort Dodge, Iowa, while raising our family of five children. Evangelism has always been a strong emphasis in my ministries throughout the years while doing church and pastoral work. After completing my doctoral work, I began to seek the Lord for His future direction. I was in the middle of pursuing opportunities to preach in pulpits, again, when I came across the OAC website in the spring of 2016. As I viewed the OAC material, God began to challenge me with the calling to do public open-air preaching. I yielded to that call, received the training and am excited to serve as a staff evangelist for OAC and take the Gospel to the unreached multitude that do not attend church.
